Giving Back This Thanksgiving: American High School’s Rise & Reach Team Partners with Hope On a Budget

On November 25, the spirit of Thanksgiving was alive and well as the American High School Rise & Reach Team joined forces with Hope On a Budget to bring meals and hope to the unhoused community in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The event was a heartfelt opportunity to share the true meaning of the season: gratitude, compassion, and giving back.
With warm smiles and open hearts, the Rise & Reach Team worked alongside Hope On a Budget to provide nourishment and support to individuals facing difficult times. Together, they served meals and created a sense of connection, reminding everyone of the power of community and kindness.
“This Thanksgiving, we wanted to do more than celebrate—we wanted to give,” said a team member. “Partnering with Hope On a Budget allowed us to share our blessings and make a difference in the lives of others. It was an experience we’ll never forget.”

This was such an amazing opportunity for our students to serve others. I had the pleasure of attending, and witnessing our students give back to the community. The students thoroughly enjoyed giving back, and many requested if they can do this again!
